And so it begins…

For months, if not years, I have felt an urge to write. Write what(?!?!?!) was always the question! And of course, there was always the voice in my head that said, who would read what you have to say? What’s the point? Wouldn’t it just be a waste of time?

However, over recent times, I have been encouraged in many ways to start to write.

To begin with, this is for me. Writing is a way that I reflect on things, be it current affairs or scripture, or simply that day of life. I find that writing things down lets me actually work through my thought process and form an opinion or thought, no matter how ridiculous, simple or profound it may be.

Further to my own selfish reasons, I’ve noted that I am blessed to be living the life I am. I am continuously amazed at the things I get to be a part of, and the things God is doing in and through me. In sharing them with friends I have come to realise that maybe others might be interested in some of what I have to share, be blessed by stories of God’s gloriousness, or at the very least will want to praise God with me.

And so it begins… The launch of a simple site that will host many of the things I am blessed to write. You’ll find everything from village magazine articles, to Scripture reflections, and potentially even more academic work, who knows.

One thing I know for sure is that, through it all, while my life is in worship of a complex God, I am a man of Simple Faith. For some of you, this will be really annoying and for others just right. I am just a guy making it up as he goes along, seeking God in everything, and getting it wrong often. However, God is gracious and amazing. This blog will be a place where everything and nothing will be showcased all at once.

I hope you enjoy it, or at the very least find it (or some of it) mildly interesting. Here’s to whatever this may bring.
